Ambury Regional Park Planting day - 10 schools together

There was a hint of spring in the air today as our ten schools came together with student representatives, teachers, parents, caregivers and community partners to plant young harakeke and cabbage trees along the coastal foreshore walk.

We sincerely thank Brendon Marshall for your communication and organisation of this event on behalf of Te Iti Kahurangi Kāhui Ako.

Also thank you Maddie, Janine and Drew from Auckland Council, and Maria and Georgina from Watercare. Your time and generosity is very much appreciated by us all.

We will remember the pukeko dance, the pizza lunch and the connections that we made. It was clear that together we were planting to protect and give back to our whenua.

There will be more shared about this event with our community soon.
